This rejuvenating, dynamic, spirited, communal, and connected retreat captures the unique ascent into the serene plains found within the mountain range.
Nestled in a valley below the Arapaho National Forests and Rocky Mountain National Park lies a resort for those willing to blaze their own trail forward, those who aim for a quick getaway and end up leaving a piece of themselves behind forever, happily accepting the lightheadedness that comes with the territory – easily worth it for the view. River Run is a mountain oasis of amenities and comfort lost in the wilderness.
Granby, CO, is where River Run set foot. Designed to over-deliver on every expectation, River Run is for younger couples, families and urbanites who seek a connection with their natural surroundings, without sacrificing comfort. Sun RV Resorts wanted to share their vision with 3D films that captured the unique ascent into the serene plains found within the mountain range.
Our storytellers visited Granby, and discovered a land older than memory, molded by years of slow movement and a geography tailor-made for excitement. For the film they decided to focus on movements, the change of season, and evolution. Additionally, they imagined the resort as a hidden gem cradled by a backdrop of magnificent summits, and translated this into wide shots that open the film. Behind the idea of “a day at River Run” was the opportunity to showcase nature coming to life, sky meeting the land, foot meeting the trail, and eyes greeting every sunset as it melts over the horizon.
Our design team built the entire environment to scale in 3D -including the glorious 11,000 feet backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. 200 buildings compose the restorative basecamp. More than 10,000 trees of 200+ species were used in the project, carefully matching the design drawings of our client’s landscape. All in an effort to represent the resort as accurately as possible.
Ten Over Media’s award-winning films played with a lot of the guests’ triggers. Unassuming but detailed props like a pair of binoculars or a thermos of coffee were essential to grasp the viewer’s emotion. The sound experience rounds off the environment and displays the rousing wildlife of the surroundings. The camera is set to a first person POV and takes the viewer on the journey of a lifetime -snaking through the gardens, flying over the lake and climbing into the jacuzzi. The epic style of the TV clips speaks to the unprecedented hub of outdoor activity guests of River Run expect to find.
Combining a guest’s profile and emotions is essential in Ten Over Media’s storytelling. With thorough branding research provided by our client SunCommunities, our storytellers were able to shape a unique property project into beautiful, lifelike marketing material that showcases the vision of the resort. Rejuvenating, dynamic, spirited, communal and connected, this “day at River Run” speaks to the modern day pioneer, and helps inspire a global movement of exploration.
Ten Over Media’s films and images served to create the mythology of River Run. Sun RV Resorts’ marketing and PR teams used the 3D material to broadcast on multiple media channels including web, TV, social media, magazines, newsletters, and more. Our material became their trailhead to help guide guest experiences in going wild in the West, and to share with family and friends.
“A campfire and a backpack casually leant against a chair were considered of equal importance to a shot of the actual buildings, and are combined with filmic techniques that make Ten Over Media’s videos instantly recognizable.”
